Audioshop works on all Macintosh's from the Classic through to the Quadra’s. It requires two megabytes of ram and System 6.07 or greater. It will provide a consistent player interface on the full range of Macintosh’s whilst exploiting colour on those which have 16 or more colours. The dimensions of the windows automatically configure themselves depending upon the screen size.
Audioshop is fully System 7.0 compatible. It contains Balloon Help and supports Alias’, AppleEvents, Virtual Memory and QuickTime™.
Optional Hardware
To create new tracks a microphone is required. Audioshop can use the built-in microphones on Macintosh’s that have a microphone port (ie Macintosh LC), or a serial port recording device such as a MacRecorder or MacMike.
Audioshop provides audio compact disk (CD) and Macintosh digital audio sequencing. To use your audio cd’s at least one SCSI CD-ROM drive must be connected to your Macintosh and it should use an Apple CD-SC compatible driver (most CD-ROM drives do).
Installing Audioshop:
There are two files on the Audioshop disk, namely Audioshop and Audioshop Helper.
Audioshop is the application program that should be copied onto your hard disk. Audioshop Helper is a system extension and should be placed in your System or Extensions Folder.
Audioshop Helper performs two functions:
• It makes all existing SoundEdit documents appear as Audioshop documents. So if you double click on a SoundEdit document, Audioshop will launch and open it.
• If you have a CD-ROM player connected, double clicking on the audio CD track will launch Audioshop.
